Once there was a Tiger named Toni. She lived in a jungle near Vinnytsya, Ukraine. She liked to dance, watch TV, and eat people. Some of her monkey, squirrel, and butterfly friends strongly disapproved of that last "hobby" very much.
"Why do you eat people, Toni?" asked her monkey friend.
"Come on, that's the silliest question ever. I'm a tiger. What else should I be doing???" replied Toni.
"Well, you should become a vegetarian and eat apples, oranges, and mushrooms," suggested her squirrel friend.
"Okay, I will ponder this idea," said Toni. And then she went to a night club and drank some juice with her butterfly friends.
The next morning Toni the Tiger was taking a walk in the park when her leg became stuck in a tiger trap. Some people came and had great sympathy for Toni, so they helped release her from the trap.
"Oh, thank you so much!" said Toni. She was so happy. She was also very hungry, so she wanted to eat those people. But she decided to let them live.
Later that night Toni was playing Black Jack at a nearby casino. She was on quite a winning streak and came out 15 bucks on top!
One of her turtle friends said, "You know, Toni, that was really nice of the people to save you from the trap. You should really consider not eating people. You should just eat onions, carrots, peas, and potatoes."
Toni the Tiger thought about it for a moment and said, "Perhaps you are right. So for now on will never eat people again. Except for big holidays and other special occasions such as on my birthday. And on my mother's birthday. And weddings. And the 8th of March. Easter. Christmas. And during the summer. And on nice autumn days. Those will be the only times that I eat tasty people."
The turtle friends gave three cheers to Toni the Tiger because she is the best!
